Besides his paintings and
photography, Keith has developed a number of distinctive techniques of producing images
with high visual impact.
One
technique, called
‘Geometrics’, examines and intensifies patterns found all around us
to create a visual treat unlike any other.
Repeating patterns, perfect symmetry and incredible detail make for an
art piece that will be a focal point of any decor.
His
technique called ‘Spot Colors’, involves transforming a
painting or photograph into a black and white image and then bringing back the color of the
central subject. These
images simply jump off of the page with visual intensity.

Benefits to You
Most 'Limited' Editions are mass produced on poster type
papers. My paintings are not reproduced this way. A wide variety of specially designed media types are now available for fine art reproductions using “Print on Demand” technologies.
Watercolor
papers, artist canvas, photographic type papers, linens, and even some amazing
artificial silks give reproductions the subtlety, texture and “look” of an
original artwork. Certain special inks and media combinations now have documented
archival ratings of up to 200 years!
Currently, all Keith Walker Open and Limited Editions are printed on
a professional artist watercolor papers, satin or glossy photo papers or Artist Canvas
(Giclee;s). Art
and Gift/Thank You Cards are printed on the watercolor
paper. The watercolor media is an amazing paper
that has a subtle texture,
substantial weight, consistently rich and vibrant colors, deep blacks and excellent archival properties. Both
the watercolor paper and Artist canvas gives each reproduction a
'painterly' look and texture that traditional offset printing cannot
reproduce.
The papers and canvases that I use, combined with my custom printing profiles developed over a period
of years, give my paintings and photographs a vibrancy and depth seldom seen with
reproductions. My reproductions are
virtually identical to the original.
