Aerial photographs of your facility, project or development are unique and informative tools for project reporting, planning and problem solving. They are also perfect for office and home décor, client and employee gifts and awards and for promotional purposes on websites, advertisements and printed literature.
Since 2002, I have conducted regularly scheduled photo flights for a wide variety of clients including government departments, land developers, engineering and construction companies, home builders and owners, planners, commercial and residential real estate companies, special interest groups and clubs, golf courses, commercial and residential buildings and for private individuals.
Also, I try to only fly when the weather conditions are close to perfect. Most clients prefer that I wait until conditions are at their best unless there is a tight time constraint. Most rescheduled flights occur within three or four days of the original schedule. I can usually fit in last minute additions but sometimes there can be problem getting last minute change of plans from airport traffic control, especially for sites on or near the flight paths. For 2006, regularly scheduled flights will be flown each month from April until November. A March and December flight is possible, depending on demand. Depending on weather, flights generally are flown around mid-month.
Aerial Photograph Packages: The following packages are inclusive of photography services and equipment, aircraft rental including pilot, fuel, airport fees and surcharges. The GST will be added. A 50% deposit is required via a company cheque or money order payable to Peak Experience Imagery. Remaining payment is required within 30 days of invoicing. The copyright of all images remains with Peak Experience Imagery. Usage rights of the supplied aerial images are as follows: 1. Low-resolution versions of the images: They may be emailed to others. They may be inserted into documents, reports, newsletters and websites. They may be printed at sizes up to 4”x6”. They may not be sold or distributed for commercial purposes. 2.
High-resolution versions of the images:
The images may not be sold. Digital
files may only be distributed internal to your organization. They may be printed
at sizes up to 8”x12”. Prints
may be used for personal albums, project records, gifts and awards.
The digital files may be used for advertising provided that there is a
photo credit that reads: Additional usage rights and copyrights may be negotiated on an individual basis. 1.
Economy “Tag-on” Photo Flight Package:
$300 per site Your site will be photographed as a “tag-on” site that will be part of a monthly scheduled photo flight that covers all quadrants of the City of Calgary. I need the exact location of your site, preferably at least three days in advance. I will do two circular passes of your project. On the first pass, I take a series of oblique overview photos of your project from all directions. On the second pass, I take a series of tight, zoomed in shots of the site, some oblique and some looking down almost vertically. After the flight, I organize and edit all of the photos, deleting any ‘misses’. I then create two versions of each photo, a small “web-size” version that is perfect for websites, reports and emails but is unsuitable for enlargements and a high resolution TIF file – usually about 18 megabytes in size. I also supply full colour index sheets showing thumbnails of each photo with the file name printed beneath. Generally you may expect from 15 to 25 high quality photographs per site burned onto either CD’s or DVD’s, within 3 working days of the flight. A “tradition” that I have developed with my clients is that I supply a complementary 10”x15” high quality photographic print of the photo that I feel is the best one of the group. 2.
“Custom” Photo Flight Package: $550/hour
flight time + $300 for each site This is a photo flight dedicated to your requirements and done at your convenience. A minimum of one hour of flight time is charged. Typically, count on 15 - 20 minutes flight time per site for a dedicated photo flight within the city. Maximum flight duration is about 2.5 hours without refueling. For sites outside the city, call for an estimate. I will provide you with the same photo package as described above in the “Tag-on” package except that I will typically supply you with 30 to 50 photographs per site. 3.
“Scheduled” Photo Flight Package: $550/hour
flight time + $200 for each site Your photo flights that are part of the monthly scheduled flight, 0.5 hours of flight time is charged for the first site. If you have more than one site to be covered, the total flight time charged will range from a minimum of 0.5 hours to a maximum of 1.0 hours for any number of sites. I will provide you with the same photo package as described above in the “Custom” package. This is a perfect package for documenting construction or land development projects on a regular, on-going basis. Photographic Prints and Framing:
Sizes are approximate and will vary
somewhat depending on the image's proportions. Some photos will not be
suitable for larger sized prints. I will let you know if this is the case
when you order. I always take the time and effort required to create a
print of the highest possible quality. Generally my photographic prints are
superior to commercial labs. All photographs are printed with archival
inks on your choice of high gloss, pearl (smooth matte) finish (highly
recommended), or artist watercolour (textured) paper. Add 50% to all print
prices to have your photograph printed on artist canvas (only for 16”x 24”
size and up). All framed prints have a contemporary
black frame, acid free photo white matte, backing, glass and hanging hardware.
Elegant and tasteful, they will fit beautifully into almost any home or office décor.
They are not “off-the-shelf” pre-made frames. All prices include
professional assembly. An engraved plate can be added to any
framed print for an additional $10 each. Also, I can create custom gift
and art cards with the image and your choice of text for the back of the card.
